How To Make The Best From Scratch Jamaican Jerk Marinade

Achunchigan Lattore

Ingredients

The best homemade Jamaican Jerk Marinade

1 large yellow onion

1 bunch green onions

1 bulb of garlic

1 thumb of ginger

1 bunch Thyme

2 tbsp white vinegar

2 tbsp Vegetable oil

1 tbsp allspice(pimento) berries

1 orange

2 tbsp browning/molasses

5 tbsp jerk seasoning

5 scotch bonnet peppers *see directions*

Directions

  • The best homemade Jamaican Jerk Marinade
  • In a blender or food processor, add all the fresh seasonings as well as the dry jerk seasoning. For the scotch bonnets, 2 green, 3 ripe. Leave green ones whole and remove seeds from ripened peppers for a mild marinade. Leave all seeds and membranes in for more spice. Add more salt if you want it more salty. Adding the dry jerk seasoning to the marinade will ensure that you have a complete marinade that has all the other notes missing from the fresh herbs. The dry seasoning includes cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and allspice, just to name a few. The marinade when created in this way is a one-and-done for any dish that you would like to add this flavor to.This is my personal dry jerk seasoning recipe that was crafted in my backyard and shared many times on the internet. Due to popular demand for this product, I have partnered with a distributor to bring this rub to the masses.

Can’t wait to try your seasonings. Do you have a spot in Florida that sale the food fresh and is it mail order?
