Bloody Mary Chicken Wings with Tropical Zinger Dry Rub

A bold, spicy, and tangy twist on classic wings—perfect for summer grilling!

 Ingredients:

 For the Wings & Marinade:

2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)

1 ½ cups Bloody Mary mix (store-bought or homemade)

2 tbsp Tropical Zinger Dry Rub (see note for substitute)

 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp hot sauce (like Tabasco)

 1 tbsp pickle juice

 For the Bloody Mary Glaze:

2 cups reserved Bloody Mary marinade (from above)

 ¼ cup ketchup

 ¼ cup vodka

 ½  cup agave syrup

 2 pitted dates

 1 tbsp tropical zinger

 3 tbsp minced garlic

 2 tbsp olive oil

 1 tbsp pickle juice

 1 tbsp butter (for richness)

Juice and zest of 1 orange

Juice and zest of 1 lemon

Juice and zest of 1 lime

2 tbsp sugar, if needed

 For Garnish (Optional but Fun!):

 Celery leaves or sticks

 Lime wedges

 Pickled green beans or olives

An extra sprinkle of Tropical Zinger Dry Rub

 Instructions:

 1. Marinate the Wings:

In a large bowl, combine the Bloody Mary mix, Tropical Zinger Dry Rub, Worcestershire, and pickle juice.

Add the chicken wings to the marinade, ensuring they’re fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight for maximum flavor).

 2. Make the Bloody Mary Glaze:

In a small saucepan, combine the reserved marinade and the other ingredients.

Simmer over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until slightly thickened.  Blend to make the sauce smooth.

Stir in some butter if needed.

 3. Grill (or Bake) the Wings:

Grill Method (Recommended for Smoky Flavor):

Preheat the grill to medium-high (375°F-400°F).

Remove wings from marinade (shake off excess) and grill for 40-45 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy and cooked through (internal temp 165°F).

In the last 5 minutes, brush generously with the Bloody Mary glaze.

 Oven Method:

Preheat the oven to 400°F and place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.

Toss in the glaze after baking.

 4. Serve with Flair:

Arrange wings on a platter, drizzle with extra glaze, and garnish with celery, lime, and pickled veggies for that full Bloody Mary cocktail experience.
