Ignite Your Taste Buds: Tropical Zinger Wings

Get ready for a flavor explosion! Today, we’re diving into a brand new recipe: Tropical Zinger Wings. This recipe features our latest seasoning blend, available exclusively on our website, and is paired with a refreshing tropical dipping sauce.

What makes Tropical Zinger Wings so special?

  • Unique Flavor Profile: This isn’t your average buffalo wing. Our Tropical Zinger seasoning blends fresh fruity and savory notes with a hint of heat, creating a truly unique flavor experience. The dry rub itself has zero sugar so the sauce really makes the citrus notes stand out.
  • Easy to Make: This recipe is surprisingly simple to prepare, making it perfect for a weeknight meal or a weekend gathering with friends.
  • Versatile: These wings can be grilled, baked, or even air-fried.

Ingredients:

  • For the Tropical Zinger Sauce:

    • 4 tbsp Tropical zinger rub
    • 4 cloves minced garlic
    • ¼ cup honey
    • Zest and juice from 1 lime
    • Zest and juice of one orange
    • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
    • 1 cup pineapple juice
    • ½ cup orange Jameson Whiskey
    • 1 red chili diced
    • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
    • ½ zested fresh ginger
    • 1 cup agave syrup
    • Scallions

Instructions:

  • Make the Dipping Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, place tequila, citrus juices, Zest and pineapple juice and let simmer on medium heat for 15 minutes. After this, add all the other ingredients. Continue to simmer on medium heat, stirring every 5 minutes for another 20-30 minutes or until the sauce coats the back of a spoon. Pour into a blender and blend well. A little bit of chunkiness adds to the texture of the finished product. Delicious and refreshing Tropical flavors with a slight zing on the lips
  1. Prepare the Wings:

    • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
    • In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil and Tropical Zinger seasoning, ensuring all sides are evenly coated.
  2. Cook the Wings:

    • Grill: Preheat your grill to 300-350. Grill the wings on one side for 20 minutes, then flip to the other side for another 2o minutes. Do this until cooked through and slightly charred. Indirect heat works best. After the wings are cooked, place wigs in a bowl and toss in wing sauce. Place back on the grill for about 10 minutes until the sauce is sticky on the wings.

  • Bake: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the wings on a baking sheet for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through. After they are cooked, toss in sauce and place back in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  • Air Fry: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Air fry the wings for 40 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  1. Serve: Serve the wings hot with some of the Tropical Zinger Sauce on the side for an extra kick.

PRO TIP:

  • If you want the sauce slightly less spicy, omit the red chili. The rub has a fair amount of spice. Although, the spice level on this sauce is about 4/10.
  • The sauce is just an extra step. The wings will be amazing with just the dry rub as long as you season generously.
